Linda Dallas became a part of the Pony Bird family in 1980 and served as the Executive Director of Pony Bird until 2014 when she took on the role of Director of Business Development. She began her career at Pony Bird as a nursing consultant, became a nursing supervisor the following year, and was asked to serve as Executive Director two years later. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from St. Louis University and a Master of Arts in Health System Management from Webster University.
During her time here, Pony Bird has grown from originally supporting ten children in one home to currently supporting sixty children and adults in six homes located in Mapaville and DeSoto Missouri.
Linda’s medical background and her tenacity in advocating for individuals with severe to profound physical and mental disabilities have enabled Pony Bird to establish and maintain its reputation of providing quality care to the severely physically and mentally disabled. Pony Bird has been recognized numerous times by the Missouri Department of Mental Health for its outstanding level of care, compassion and service.
Linda is extremely active in the community and has made representing Pony Bird a top priority. She is a member of the Festus/Crystal City Kiwanis, Twin City Chamber of Commerce, American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Missouri Association Residential Care Providers, Jefferson County Growth and Development Association, Pathways Board Member (a home for adults with moderate mental and physical disabilities), and several other community organizations. In 2003, Linda Dallas and Pony Bird received the KJFF-KTJJ 110% Award. Over the years, she has volunteered in the community for numerous causes and events such as the annual Twin City Days.
Linda Dallas is a member of the Selma Church. She resides in the Festus area with her husband, Gary, and they have three daughters: Brandy, Sarah, and Ashley.
